Rhomobile has unveiled RhoSync 2.0, a new version of its open source sync server for enterprise data, that keeps enterprise application data current and accessible on users' smartphones even when offline or disconnected.
The new version of RhoSync provides smartphone users access to synchronised offline data and the ability to interact with data locally before submitting data changes to enterprise application backends.
RhoSync 2.0 features: a scalable data sync for server data caching and differencing; support for objective C for iPhone development; and web services and SaaS focused sync server.
Rhomobile said that its new offering when used in conjunction with Rhodes, offers developers with a simplified development process, who can use OR to access it without writing SQL.
Logic Appeal CEO Chris Hall said that the robust performance quality and reliability of RhoSync allows the company to offer data-intensive mobile applications that successfully integrate with existing enterprise applications.
