Rhomobile unveils mobile app integration server for smartphones, tablets

CBR Staff Writer Published 29 September 2011

Simplify and shorten the development and testing cycles for mobile enterprise apps, says the company

Rhomobile, a provider of enterprise mobility suite has unveiled RhoConnect 3.0, a universal mobile application integration server that the company says delivers instant integration from any data source, using any mobile development framework, to any smartphone or tablet, anywhere and at any time.

RhoConnect 3.0 includes out of the box source adapters for CRM systems and server plug-ins for enabling integration with custom J2EE, .NET, and Rails applications.

The application integration server also includes the new ability to leverage RhoConnect with any mobile development framework, including Objective-C, Java, and JavaScript, said the company.

Available as a cloud service or as on-premises software, RhoConnect 3.0 is expected to simplify and shorten the development and testing cycles for mobile enterprise applications.

The new platform uses native smartphone push (Apple iPhone, Android and BlackBerry Push API's) to populate data to devices transparently without polling, while it also uses a NoSQL database (Redis) to achieve scalability and performance of any mobile synchronisation technology.

Rhomobile CEO Adam Blum said the market demand for B2B, B2E, and even some B2C apps is raising the bar for development shops to address mobile application and data integration.

"We designed RhoConnect to help developers overcome the incredible challenges dealing with multiple data sources and platforms, and the complexities of coding to meet both enterprise requirements and end-user demands," Blum said.
