Jaspersoft rolls-out new secure reporting server

Creates, delivers and embeds interactive reports in various formats

Jaspersoft, a business intelligence (BI) software provider, has launched JasperReports Server Professional, a new centrally-managed and secure reporting server for scheduling and distributing interactive reports.

Jaspersoft said that with the new server customers will be able to create, deliver and embed interactive reports in a variety of formats.

The new JasperReports Server Professional combines the power of a reporting server with flash-based charts.

The features of new server include: unlimited reports for unlimited users without per user pricing; schedule thousands of reports on a single server; secure report access to integrate with existing identity management directories; and simplified report drill-down design and integration.

In addition, it also offers conditional printing and formatting; multiple data sources including JDBC, XML, POJO, EJB, MDX, CSV, and custom; and export to different formats including HTML, PDF, XLS, RTF, SWF, ODF, TXT.

Jaspersoft vice president of product strategy Karl Van den Bergh said, the new product enables the company to better serve thousands of organisations using its reporting tools either as a standalone or embedded deployment.
